Verrado is a master-planned community designed around New Urbanism principles in Buckeye, Arizona, about 26 miles west of Phoenix, in the foothills of the White Tank Mountains. Spanning more than 8,800 acres, it features homes inspired by early 20th-century American architecture, tree-lined streets, and welcoming front porches. The name “Verrado” comes from the Spanish word verdad, meaning “truth.”
With beautiful homes and residents of all ages, Verrado combines small-town charm with modern conveniences. Shops and restaurants are just minutes from home, along with schools, more than 80 neighborhood parks, a golf club, a swim park, and a marketplace. Residents also have access to veterinary services, a pharmacy, dental care, and a spa.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, Verrado offers mountains to explore and 20 miles of hiking and biking trails. Unforgettable sunsets over the White Tank Mountains add to the beauty of life in the Sonoran Desert.
Here, I live in total happiness with my daughter, Madeleine; her husband, Javier; and my granddaughter, Sara Ilia.
